The formation of Pontinova AG as lawyers’ boutique represented the fulfilment of a dream for us. We provide demanding legal work and are surrounded by colleagues
who share our approach: Our profession is our passion.

We live and
love what we do.

No matter whether we are advising natural persons or companies, our enthusiasm, coupled with experience and state-of-the-art know how, motivates us to give our best every day. This includes calling allegedly established facts into question, and not accepting things merely because the majority consider them to be correct. We are constantly searching for new paths.

Why we are different…

… and why you can trust us for precisely this reason.
Problems cannot be solved using the same mindset through which they have arisen. We combine the tried and trusted with innovative solution approaches, and thus together tread new paths that lead you to your goals.
We manage our business-advisory law firm with heart and mind. Our clients, partners and employees can expect integrity, reliability and absolute commitment from us at all times.

What I once wanted to be:
Federal Chancellor in Germany
What I have become
What I have become:
obviously, thanks to Ms Merkel, I have at least not become Germany's first female Chancellor. Instead, I have been working as a lawyer since 2011, and co-founded Pontinova AG in 2016. I previously spent 5 years with a large German business law firm in Zurich. During this time I also worked in Frankfurt and New York. The focus of my work is on the one hand cross-border advising of banks and financial services companies on matters related to German banking supervision law as well as to the Securities Trading Act. I also advise private clients, among other things concerning private and corporate succession planning, asset structuring and day-to-day civil-law matters. I am a regular speaker in both areas, and publish in newspapers and professional journals. I am also a member of the Board of Trustees in various non-profit and private-law foundations. In 2017, I completed additional training as a mental coach. This is a major advantage above all in the recently developed area Crisis Management.

What I once wanted to be:
a professional soccer player at Werder Bremen
What I have become
What I have become:
back then under manager Otto Rehhagel, Rudi Völler played in my position at Werder Bremen. And in the long run that was a good thing. Good for both his and my career. He won the World Cup in 1990. And I began my law studies. I have been working as a lawyer since 2001. My professional stations in Frankfurt, New York and London were spent with large international law firms. The focus of my work was on international banking and investment law. I have been living and working in Switzerland since 2010. Since then, I have been advising Swiss clients (in particular financial institutions) concerning the cross-border movement of services with Germany. I also represent German clients in all legal matters related to relocation to Switzerland. Finally, I specialise in the regulation of FinTech companies in Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Based on extensive own experience, I have recently also focussed on the field of Crisis Management with a great deal of passion.

What I once wanted to be: journalist
What I have become
What I have become:
What I have become: lawyer This also has a lot to do with communication; however, this is covered by professional secrecy. In 2010, I successfully completed my law studies at the Westphalia Wilhelms-University in Münster. I then completed a Master of Laws (LL.M) at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, before passing my 2nd State Law Examination. I have been living and working in Switzerland since 2015. I initially worked as in-house counsel for an international industrial corporation based in Zug. I have been working as a lawyer at Pontinova AG since 2017. I advise our clients primarily in the field of banking and finance, with a particular focus on Fintech, international payment transactions and the law of sanctions. A further speciality of mine is advising private clients on questions related to German income-tax, inheritance-tax and foreign-tax law. I also support our clients in all commercial and corporate-law matters.
